paint.chip confetti

1 December 2010

tuesday was the second ultra-sound for the love.bump and i. i was beyond thrilled that i was able to share this with my sisters. they were both just as thrilled as i was to get a sneak peak at baby m. as i mentioned before we will be finding out if the little one will be “blue” or “pink” on christmas eve. the night before my appointment yaneth, emily, and i created “paint.chip confetti” to seal up in two envelopes {i’ll be keeping one and the other one i will be sending to tommy so he also has something to open up while he’s on the phone as we all unwrap the big surprise}. it may sound a bit stilly but making these with my sisters made me super happy. emily punched out the one inch circles out of one of my fan decks {sorry sherman willams}, while yaneth glued the chips back to back, & i cut out rectangles out of manela envelopes to make the not-so-secret envelopes into secret envelopes {extra layers of paper had to be added to the inside so we wouldn’t be able to see through} lets just say that when i asked the doctor to split up the blue or pink confetti into the two envelopes he just stared for a bit at what i was handing over to him. silly doctor- he thought i would just want him to write down boy or girl on a paper. he was very sweet about it and walked around to the other side of the privacy curtain to slipped the one color of confetti into the two envelopes and put the other color in his pocket {so we wouldn’t see them in the trash as we walked out}. i loved adding a little extra fun to this with our {free} paint.chip confetti.
